Home opener timeline

The Brewers sent out a schedule for tomorrow’s home opener against the Cubs so I thought I would pass it along to you:

12:00 p.m. – Parking opens to the public
1:00 p.m. – Gates to Miller Park open
1:15 p.m. – Brewers Stretch on Field
1:25 – 2:10 p.m. – Cubs Batting Practice
1:25 – 2:10 p.m. – Brewers Batting Practice (Cages)
2:45 p.m. – Pre-game Ceremonies Begin
2:47 p.m. – Cubs Starting Lineups/Chalk Line Introductions
2:52 p.m. – Brewers Starting Lineups/Chalk Line Introductions
2:57 p.m. – National Anthem (Joe Attanasio, Father of Brewers owner Mark Attanasio)
3:00 p.m. – Ceremonial First Pitch (Jeff Skiles, First Officer of US Airways flight 1549)
3:07 p.m. – First Pitch

Parking could be tough, so I’ll also pass along a reminder from the team that overflow parking has been arranged at Wisconsin State Fair Park. Fans may use the 84th Street exit from I-94 where they will be greeted by signage and staff. A $10 fee will cover the vehicle parking and shuttle services are free. Buses, provided by Riteway Bus, will be staged near the U.S. Cellular Gate and will offer service to and from Miller Park before and after the game.

Shuttle services are scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. and will run until approximately 1 1/2 hours after the game. Buses will drop off passengers and pick up after the game on the VA grounds. Fans should follow the path marked “Stadium” which will lead them to the right field gate. Tune to AM 1180 for up to the minute information.

I can’t believe we lost 2 of 3 to that sheet bag team out west. Now we got the Cubs coming in and their gd 4th starter is Rich Harden. We need Jake Peavy, trade that obese vegetarian for Peavy.

Didn’t we have C C Sabfathia on our roster last year? What happened to him? He pitched well against everybody but the Cubs. Did Prince Fielder eat him? That knuckel head has to stop eating our best players.

Is that first comment true? Could we really get Jake Peavey? I’ll bet if we did we could take 2 of 3 from the Giants.

I didn’t see anything in the schedule about the Brewers taking batting practice. Do they think after taking 1 of 3 in SF they don’t need to? That would probably be a mistake.

If I scratched out my last name on my driver’s license, and wrote in “Attanasio”, could I get into the park earlier than other people?

We could trade Rickie Weeks to the Orioles for Rich Hill. That would help with our starting pitching.
