No Cameron for series finale
With left-hander Jonathan Sanchez on the mound for the Giants as they seek a three-game sweep, the Brewers are without the services of center fielder Mike Cameron. Not sure if it’s injury-related, though I hear Cameron has quietly been playing on an injured ankle. He’s 1-for-7 against Sanchez and is actually hitting slightly better this year against right-handers (.257) than left-handers (.248), though his OPS against lefties is 72 points higher.
We’ll get some answers in our pregame chat with Ken Macha. For now, here’s the lineup with Jody Gerut in center field for the second straight day.
