McClung's deal is done
The Marlins have not announced it yet, but word is getting out today that Seth McClung finalized his Minor League contract with Florida this morning and will vie for a spot in that team’s bullpen. McClung would earn a $600,000 base salary if he makes the team, with $50,000 more available in incentives.
Finances hastened McClung’s departure from Milwaukee. He earned $1.6625 million in 2009 and would have been arbitration-eligible again this winter, so the Brewers nontendered him in December.
