he well-wishes for Brewers broadcaster Bob Uecker have been pouring in from Miller Park and points elsewhere, and here’s your chance. Post your “get well soon” message or a favorite memory in the comments box below and we’ll make sure they get to Mr. Baseball during what everyone hopes is a speedy recovery from heart surgery.
Follow Brew Beat on Twitter

After surgery, you should say “post-op show brought to you by, Christ I can’t find it, the HELL with it.” Get well soon, Ueck.

Ueckers call of Ryan Brauns homer from the clincher two year ago still gives me chills. We will miss you Ueck! Hurry back cause Brewers baseball wont be the same without you

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or sohmietng. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is great blog. A great read. I will certainly be back..

The one great thing in not having cable TV is listening to you call the games of my favorite professional sports team. Thank you very much and I hope for your speedy recovery!

Ueck, I’ve listened to you call the games since I was a little girl. Listening while you are recovering won’t be the same. You are in our prayers for a speedy recovery!

There’s something about walking into Miller Park -the smells, the sounds, that let you know summer has arrived. Looks like my summer this year starts in August. Hurry back Ueck! Wisc is with you all the way! Hey! Get up, get up, and get back here!

Love ya, Ueck! Praying you come back stronger than ever! God speed!

Get well soon Uecker! I’m going to miss your play calls from the restrooms at Miller Park.

The broadcasts won’t be nearly as entertaining without your class and humor, Ueck. Get well soon!

I and also my buddies were alltacuy analyzing the excellent procedures on your website and then unexpectedly got a terrible feeling I never thanked the blog owner for those tips. All of the young men became as a consequence joyful to learn them and have extremely been using them. Thank you for getting very kind and also for picking out such extraordinary subjects most people are really eager to learn about. My personal honest regret for not expressing gratitude to earlier.

Good luck and best wishes to you, Ueck. Now don’t tell anybody, but I’m a Phillies fan and you’re my favorite broadcaster behind the late, great Harry Kalas. Get well ASAP!

Best wishes on your surgery Bob! It won’t be the same listening to Brewers games without you. Especially day games, you help me get through the day at work with your great insights and plenty of humor. Get well soon!!

It would be my luck that, the year I give up cable, you have to give up radio for a bit, Ueck. All the best, I’ll be thinking about you and those freeways in Atlanta you always talk about.

Can’t wait till you get back Ueck! Be well!

Get well soon, Ueck! My grandfather listened to your broadcasts when to help him learn English when he immigrated from Korea in 1979. His love for baseball transferred to my dad and to me, and we still enjoy listening to your broadcasts today. Thanks for all of the laughs and memories, and here’s to 75 more years of Uecker on the radio!

Mr. Uecker, you’ll be in our prayers, baseball would never be the same without you, so God would never let anything happen to you. Your kindness that day, August 8, 1992 at Miller Park for our sons 8th birthday when you sat down in the near empty stadium before the double header between the Brewers and the Twins (rained out game caused a dh), you turned down cake because you said you “really didn’t need it” brought a laugh to us all. It really left a memory to our young son and our entire family, and made our son and daughter Brewer fans for life.

We thank you for that and for years of baseball joy and wish you the best through this time. Know that you are in the thoughts of so many who care for you, even though they don’t know you personally, you are still like a part of our/their families. Thank you for being just the person you are! We do love you, Mr. Baseball, and look forward to hearing that unmistakable voice back on the radio again soon.

Ueck, I’ll never forget when, several years ago, I got to the game super-early, hung out on the loge level outside the press boxes, and got you to sign my copy of “Catcher in the Wry.” I still smile when I think about it. You are a legend!
Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery and a return for an awesome season!

Get well soon, Ueck! Baseball won’t be the same without you for the next couple of months.

Bless you,Bob! I’ve had you on the radio from the start and to this day I will turn down the volume on the TV(no offense to Mr. Shroeder,Mr. Anderson and the dozen of other announcers we’ve had thru the decades) and put on your radio broadcast. You are more than the voice of the Brewers, you are the voice of Milwaukee. God speed,my friend! I’m sure Herm Tyriver isn’t ready for you just yet!!!

i think behr paint ( has something like that, but i bieelve there is a $5 fee i’ve not used it, but i have looked at colors on the website before. also you can pick up the paint booklets/chips at home depot (from behr) and the booklets has complimentary colors and shows the paint in different rooms.i personally like the behr paint (semi gloss) because its wonderful for being able to clean it especially with kids and crayons, markers, finger paints, etc. it is a little costlier than most paints, but it covers great and last great also if you use the behr paint and there is something wrong with the paint itself a behr representative will come out and paint your walls for you (there has to be something

What are the advantages to havnig a center differential? are there any disadvantages? Is there a reason why on-road cars almost never have center differentials, and most off-road buggies/truggies have them?

get well soon I will miss seing you in st louis and listening to you during games

Thanks man great website plus some great cnonett articles, keep up the actual greatI had been surfing search engines and I saw your site which is very interesting, keep it up! I simply added this blog site in order to my google readers, excellent things. I Cannot obtain sufficient!

Litvinenko’s superior hetlah is what enabled him to stay alive long enough to talk to reporters, who then publicized his case. This is what I explained in clear terms in my post which clarified the issue of why it is that the general public is aware of his murder. To reiterate, had Litvinenko died a quick death, the details of his assassination, though they would (most likely, but not assuredly, as deaths from cancer are not ordinarily followed by autopsies) have been investigated, would not have received much, if any, publicity. Again, I made this clear in my previous post, and now that I’ve repeated it, I hope you are able to grasp the concept. As for the conjectures about how it was that the Kremlin was caught essentially red-handed assassinating a British citizen on British soil, well, conjecture is conjecture, rumination and nothing more.It is plausible that a message was being sent to others, in the most public of ways, not to publicize the crimes of the Kremlin. This would not, after all, be the first time something of this type has been done by the rulers of Russia. It is plausible that a message was being sent to the West that the next terrorist attacks are to be nuclear. It is plausible that Litvinenko’s death was meant to appear to have been from natural causes, that detection of the polonium-210 was not thought to have been likely or even possible by the assassins because they thought he would die much quicker than he did.It is plausible that, given the position of strength (a fact which I will not go into in this post for the reason that it would require, in effect, that I teach you a great deal about the subjects of Russian strategic superiority, strategy, tactics, and other things which I don’t have the time to go into right now) that Russia commands, Russia did not care whether they were caught in the act or not. In other words, Russia is now in a position in which its leaders no longer have to rely on deception, and is free to begin openly bullying the world the same way it does its own population. You and certain others here may scoff at the things I have revealed, either because you are in denial, or because you wish to maintain the grand fiction, but to others what I’ve said will be a revelation, and they will begin their own inquiry. They will begin to wonder if they were deceived, if Reagan, Thatcher, and all of the West was deceived. And if they dig a little, they will know that they were, and they will wonder why it is that you are carrying water for murderers.Litvinenko was killed because he exposed the fact, in great and convincing detail, that FSB agents, acting on orders from the Kremlin, blew up apartment buildings in Moscow and other cities in order to start two Chechen wars, so that fictional democracy in Russia would bring to power the one of their own, Vladimir Putin.Your denials ring hollow.

It’s a relief to find someone who can explain things so well

Your posting really straightened me out. Thanks!

Best of luck to you, Ueck. You are one of the greatest figures in baseball, and summer would never be the same without your voice! The Brewers are truly luck to have a legend like yourself in the booth, and I hope you get to return there ASAP. You are in excellent hands. Our thoughts are with you!

Hope you recover soon, Bob. Baseball needs you. God Bless You! You are truly a baseball icon.

It is not gonna be the same without you all summer !! Best of luck and hoping for a speedy recovery !!! Get well and hurry back !!

Get well soon! You are the voice of baseball, not just brewers baseball. A few years ago you changed my opinion on baseball while I had to drive between minneapolis and central wisconsin while I was in school, and I always listened to you on my way back and forth. I have enjoyed listening to you, and baseball ever since.

You are the main reason me and many friends listen to baseball, and we all thank you for it! Hang in there, and we’ll have you in our prayers! Take Care!

Hi Bob,

I created a facebook group yesterday entitled

“We wish Bob Uecker a speedy recovery and return to the broadcast booth!”

It’s already up over 700 folks, many posting their warm wishes. I encourage you to take a look! (or find someone who knows their way around facebook to show you – I heard you talking about your text message backlog and am guessing you don’t spend a lot of time on facebook)

We’ll sure miss you! Praying for your doctors and you, Ueck!

Lee Becker

Haha, shouldn’t you be charging for that kind of knowledge?!

that we should frogive and forget’. Even if this were actually possible, we are certainly not required to even attempt anything like it if they are unrepentent and likely to offend again on the same serious way. We are entitled to say within ourselves something like: whilst I have handed calling you to account over to God, and whilst I pray that you will see the light, understand what you have done and repent, and apologise so that we can safely be reconciled, I now know you and what you are like, and I choose to guard my heart and the hearts of those under my protection, and (for the time being anyway) to love you in absence.By doing this, as well as protecting ourselves (we are not called to continually cast our pearls in front of swine’) and giving ourselves time and space for our own healing, we give those who have done us wrong the chance to experience that we no longer seek their company, but at the same do not carry any resentment towards them. If it is God’s will that we should be reconciled to them and resume an active friendship, then this course of action can have a powerfully positive challenging effect. If it does not, then it is better that we let them go and enable God to give us something/someone else instead. We hope you find this reply of help.God bless and guide you.

Best Wishes for a Quick Recovery! Luv YA Ueck!
You’re the BEST!

Mr. Uecker I met you in the summer of ’94 I believe when I was a Mass Comm major at the UW-Milwaukee. My father worked with a gentleman who played basketball with Pat Hughes, and he introduced you to me in the broadcast booth before a game. You were very cordial, and very kind with your words to an aspiring sports anchor. You granted me a one on one interview, but the stars never quite aligned. I must say since moving to Arizona my wife who is from LA has a hard time understanding how I can listen to so many Brewers games for hours and hours. I listen to the WTMJ feed on every time I’m able. Well, the real thing that boggles her mind is how I can stand to listen even when the Brew Crew is losing with the game out of reach? The reason is always constant, and the answer is you! Mr. Bob Uecker. I truly believe you are the greatest radio sports announcer to broadcast professional sports. I wish you a speedy recovery, and thank you for your 40 years of service with more to come in 10-12 weeks.

Ueck, I don’t have just one memory but a whole lifetime of happy moments listening to you call Brewer baseball. When I was a kid, I’d have a radio in the yard while we played outside, and I remember falling asleep to games playing on my clock radio. I’d listen to games on my Walkman as I studied for finals at UW-Madison. I sadly missed a lot of games when I moved out of state in ’97, but in recent years I’ve been able to listen to all of them again via the internet and now on my iPhone! (Too bad I don’t have a pocket Doppler…) In all seriousness, your voice is the soundtrack of my summer and my link to Wisconsin, my home state. Best wishes for a speedy recovery – you will be missed while you are gone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you! – Melissa

Best wishes for the man with a heart of pure baseball!

Ueck, take your time, just get well, everyone’s pulling for ya

Since my son was born 6 years ago we have seldom miss a night in the summer when he doesn’t want to listen to “Uncle Bob”. We will even be out and he will hear some one who sounds like Bob and he will be looking around for his “Uncle Bob”. It will be a sad day when we lose Bob and can’t hear him every night. We think of Bob as a member of the family. Get well soon you will be missed very much! Especially by my son who doesn’t know Brewers other then from the words of Uncle Bob.

Wow, your post makes mine look flebee. More power to you!

Ueck. Its been great listening to you every game on the radio you jokes and knowledge will be misses. Wish you a speedy recovery so we all can enjoy your brewers broadcasts again.

I am addicted to listening to you call the Brewer games!! It will be a long summer without you. Hurry back so I can listen to more of your stories, learn more about the game, and feel the excitement of the game thru your voice as if I was there.🙂

Well Ueck I’ve been listening to you for 8 years now. I’m a young guy. I’m going to miss your jokes and the fun you have with the ballclub. Hopefully we will have you back before the all star break. I’ll be praying your surgery goes well so you can get out to the ball park and call some more get up get outta here and gone!

We all love you Ueck. Get well soon

We’re pulling for you Ueck! Can’t wait to hear you calling games again. It won’t be the same w/o you this summer.
Get well and come back soon. We’ll need you for post season (I’m still optimistic!)

Mr. Uecker as an aspiring sports broadcaster (specifically baseball) you are obviously one of the biggest reasons I made that decision. I wish you the best of luck and hope that you will be back in that booth soon.

Hi Bob,
I’m sure going to miss you while you’re out recovering, but please take all the time you need. Corey will keep your seat warm for you, but in all honesty, only you can fill that seat. I love listening to your stories about players you watched because we all know you didn’t play much(just teasing you Bob). You truly are the face of the Brewers, and your love for the game and for the team is very obvious. I hope you know that we’ll all be keeping you in our prayers.

Hey Ueck,
Long time listener- first time well-wisher.
Here’s to a speedy recovery and return to the booth.
It will be a long summer w/o you on the airwaves, especially if Hoffman doesn’t turn it around soon!

Get Well.
Portland, OR

Hey Bob Uecker i will watch Major League Tonight In Honor of you. Hope your surgery goes smooth and get better and get back soon buddy we need you.

Yesterday I wrote that I didn’t have one outstanding memory of you, Bob, just a lifetime of wonderful memories…well, just after posting, I did remember one in-person memory – the last game at County Stadium. The goodbye speech you gave was absolutely perfect. I stood there in tears, saying goodbye to the place my parents took my brother and I as children, and your words couldn’t have been more perfect. I found it online afterwards and transcribed it so I could keep it forever. Best wishes, Bob! You’re in our prayers!

I am praying for you today and I hope the surgery/recovery goes very smoothly. You know your whole baseball family is pulling for you! I cannot wait until you’re back to bring your humor and knowledge to the airwaves once again.

Please let me know if you’re looking for a auhotr for your weblog. You have some really great posts and I believe I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d absolutely love to write some content for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please blast me an email if interested. Cheers!

This is the perfect way to break down this information.

That’s a knowing answer to a difficult question

That’s a creative answer to a difficult question

Bob, please get well soon!!! I will miss you – your humor and commentaries always entertain. The Brewers aren’t the same without you. Really enjoyed listening to you and Costas during a Sunday spring training game. Take care, listen to your doctors and make a speedy back in the park recovery!

Fantastic blog you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any dsciuisson boards that cover the same topics discussed in this article? I’d really like to be a part of group where I can get advice from other experienced people that share the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Thanks a lot!

. HOWEVER, Woman B claimed she had never said aniythng to A about my wife spreading the rumors and that she was simply concerned about her. She was sorry, apologized, but understood if my wife didn’t trust her as a friend. My wife was hurt, but choose to forgive woman B and move on and attempt to repair things with woman A.The next morning, woman B went to A and told her what my wife had done to her. Woman A was concerned about the accuracy of the information she was getting from B. Woman A asked her again if she was sure that what she had said at the party was true, including the party about my wife telling many different people and maliciously attempting to start the rumors. B said this was all true again, and that my wife was really upset with A and wanted to bring her down with what she said.A week later, my wife tried to talk to woman A to apologize for what was said. Woman A would not even look at my wife. She said she was done with her as a friend. She explained that woman B had come back to her to tell her she had been talking about her AGAIN, and she reiterated about the fact she had been spreading the rumors maliciously and my wife wanted to hurt woman A. None of this was true. Woman A called my wife a slew of fowl language in front of me, in front of dozens of her close friends and in front of many of my wife’s friends. She stated that she was lying because woman B had said these things to her twice, and that she wouldn’t lie.My wife is woman A’s boss. Woman A is letting this effect her work. Woman A has cut off all communication with my wife outside of work. Woman B is now completely avoiding my wife entirely as well as woman B’s husband, who is a close friend of mine.My wife forgave them both for what happened. Several weeks has passed. I have a hard time forgiving these people and wanted them to ever be back at our home. They were both very good friends of my wife’s and now she feels alone and isolated because her two best friends destroyed their friendship. I even lost a close friend. The collateral damage goes very deep, since these were mutual friends of almost everyone we know.My wife wants me to move on, but I have such a hard time with that. My wife was trying to do the biblically accurate thing to hold a fellow sister in christ accountable and her other sister in christ; who was not a new christian, but a strong one, threw it in her face. She broke her trust not once, but twice.I just think she doesn’t need to be friends with these people if this is how they treat their relationships. I don’t feel comfortable having them around my home if this is what they choose to do.What do you think?

I know I speak for a lot of Brewer fans who have moved away from the great state of Wisconsin in saying that listening to your calls of the Crew’s games is a a little piece of home for all of us, and it puts a smile on my face every time. Thanks for your continued excellence and dedication. We’ll all miss hearing you for the next few months. I’ll be praying for a successful operation and a smooth and speedy recovery for you.

God bless!

Thank you so much for the many years of great joy you have brought me listening to you calling Brewers games. No matter win or lose it is always a treat. Take care and I look forward to hearing you later on in the summer!

I will be thinking of you, praying for you while watching my
nephew pitch, at Carson Park, for his high school baseball team. I know you hold Eau Claire and Carson park dear to your heart. You are the best and we love listening to your
wit and wisdom. Speedy recovery to you.
Cornell, WI

I heard you even did some fishing on Cornell lake.
Mighty good pan fish there!

In 2000 when you were named “Man of the Year” by the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Assn., I was “Woman of the Year”, but you didn’t make the banquet. Too bad you missed your chance to meet “Mrs. Baseball”! A year later, my son wanted to go to the Brewers winter banquet to see you instead of getting a birthday present. From the podium, you told the crowd you gave him a buck, but you needed it back. The photo is online at the Appleton Post Crescent. You just get back up to speed, and Jeff will get you the buck. Swing for the fences!

A speedy rocovery, Ueck. Brewer fans are lucky to have you announcing the games, and you’ll be missed. We’ll just have to watch the ‘Major League’ movies to get our fix.
‘Minoring In Baseball’

Glad to hear the surgery went well. I started to listen to your broadcasts when I was a kid while at my Grandmas house. My Grandma loved listening to you because you always made her laugh and she loved your voice. I always tried to make my Grandma laugh when I saw her because of the joy I could see on her face when you made her laugh. That was 32 years ago and Im still listening to you, but its alone now because Grandma has passed away last year (95 years old). Every time I hear your voice now, I think of her – and every time you make me laugh – I know shes up there laughing too. Thanks for some great memories Bob. Please get well soon.

My spouse and i have been now etaitscc Edward could complete his researching through your precious recommendations he got from your very own weblog. It’s not at all simplistic to simply be giving freely secrets the others might have been trying to sell. And we all know we have the blog owner to thank for that. All of the explanations you made, the simple web site menu, the relationships you can give support to promote it’s mostly astounding, and it’s really letting our son in addition to our family consider that that theme is enjoyable, and that’s very vital. Thank you for the whole lot!

When you think about it, that’s got to be the right anwrse.

That insight’s just what I’ve been looking for. Thanks!

Looking forward to hearing “juuuust a bit outside” once again. Get well and get back soon.

Nobody calls Tribe games (though only in the movies) like you! I’m always quoting your lines from Major Leauge. Well wishes towards a speedy recovering.

I hope you have a speedy recovery, Ueck. Looks like it’s strictly salads for the home radio booth for a while.

I know Bob Ueker… there is only one Bob Ueker… get well Bob! — A dead orange giants fan. 🙂

PS: we still all have Ueker baseball cards! 🙂

Get well Bob! Part of the fun of playing the Brewers is seeing you! Many in the Cubs nation wish you a speedy recovery! We’d love to hear you sing the 7th inning stretch in August! Becky

Get well soon, Bob!
I live in Western Canada, but have been a Braves fan since 1957? 58? when you were playing the Yankees for the World Series. Lew Burdette, Warren Spahn, Joe Adcock, Eddie Matthews and Del Crandal are all name familiar to me, as is yours. And later Hank Aaron. How this takes me back down memory lane. I recall interviews with you wherein I was impressed with your calmness and humor. This is all to say that I remember you well, and wish Godspeed in your recovery.

Bob – Here’s hoping the recovery is swift and successful, you fun to listen too, even when the Brewers aren’t your favorite team…

Sara,I have question. My hair color is dark brown/black. I want to dye my hair into dark red / budgnury. I don’t want to bleaching my hair.I want to use permanent dye. I live in Indonesia. Commonly available brands are L’oreal and Garnier. Do you have any suggestions, what color suit me? And which products are right for me and should I use?I also want to have a few streaks/highlights in my hair with bright colors. Such as blonde, or whatever fits.I don’t know if it matters, but my skin is yellow Asia. So it might be to adjust the color of my hair.Thank you so much

If the person was your feirnd, they would probably be happy to hear from you. It would be a pleasant surprise to reconnect. If they don’t reply, it could be the wrong email address or an email address that they no longer use.I use it every day.

Listening to the Brewer game today, reminded me of
watching the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson when
Johnny was on vacation. You still watch it, and enjoy it,
but are so glad when he returned to the desk.
Johnny always cracked up so much when Bob was on the Tonight Show, and we need you back Bob, to crack us up!

I remember 1999 the Crew was down 2 outs in the 9th, down I think 12 runs. YOU kept me listening! and the crew went through the order 1 1/2 times to WIN. Thanks Bob, you are Milwaukee.

I sure miss you calling the brewers’ games. I have been a fan of yours for a long time. Hope to hear you back at the mic soon! Hope you are doing great!

Don H.

Mr Uecker!

I work second shift at the BloodCenter and listen to the game nightly – but I am a true fan of the game and I love listening to you (& Corey too) call the game. I also like all the history and crazy stories you throw into the mix.

Get well soon and come back with some great hospital stories.

Hey Bob, please get well soon! We miss you on the radio broadcasts. The other guys are doing a great job, but we miss the little side stories and comments that only you can provide!!! Looking forward to your return🙂

Thanks for the memories. You made my son, Stephan, have a great childhood. My mom Alice Mae Piwonski wishes you well too. God bless you.

I have an ezrun 35A/3800kv combo that cogs even at higher spedes, and only at full throttle.. any ideas what it could be?I can run it at 15mph, hit full throttle and it just stutters and hardly picks up speed. If I slowly pull the trottle, it runs really well and tops 30mph like it should.Ruled out the battery, it works even with a hotter motor, so thats ok and powerful enough. Also checked my soldering on the deans plug, and it was good as well.Ever come across a similar problem?

either created myself or outsourced but it looks
like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my permission. Do you know any techniques to help protect against
content from being stolen? I’d certainly appreciate it.
