Axford set a club record

Didn’t notice this nugget last night, but John Axford set a Brewers rookie record last night with his 16th save of the season. The previous mark was held by Doug Henry, who saved 15 games as a rookie in 1991. Dan Plesac, who could go on to be an All-Star, saved 14 games as a rookie in 1986.

I have not seen a Brewers lineup yet but will post it ASAP. The skies are clearing here at Wrigley Field after rain over night. The new field they installed here a couple of years ago is tremendous, such an improvement even though the old one had such a severe crown across the infield.
